I hired Mike Goodman to help with a DUI case back in 2014. He was recommended by a police officer friend of mine in the Hatfield area. Mike was incredibly approachable and listened to everything I had to say, and I never once felt uncomfortable with him throughout the entire case proceedings. He was honest with me about expectations for the case, very detailed and thorough with explaining how each process worked, what he needed from me, and what the next steps were, and he also kept up with me regularly to make sure I was in the loop. Also, all of the necessary paperwork was completely correctly and submitted on time to ensure nothing took longer than it needed to. Actually, thanks to Mike’s experience in the field, his connections to other areas of the law enforcement and justice fields helped to move things along even a bit faster than they would have gone normally, which was quite welcome. Thanks to Mike, the case was able to go as smoothly as possible, and the DUI is thankfully behind me now.

Had hired Mr. Goodman for a serious driver license issue where I would have lost my license for months. Just prior to the hearing I was unexpectedly hospitalized. Not only did Mr. Goodman appear without me, but he resolved all of the tickets so that all of the charges were dismissed but one, but the fine on the one was greatly reduced and it had no impact on my license or insurance at all. He went above and beyond to help me.

Mr. Goodman was great in representing me on my DUIcharge. When I first called to talk about my cases, he was very straightforward and honest, we spent an hour on the phone discussing the possible outcome. He was very knowledgeable about the DUI process and how it works. I had two prior felony convictions and this was my third DUI, first in ten years. My blood alcohol was above 0.2 and put me in the highest tier for sentencing. With my prior convictions there was a good possibility that I was not going to receive the minimum sentence. I was looking at a likley 30 days incarceration and a 18 mo. suspension of my license. Mr. Goodman got me the minimum sentence and made the outcome of the case very favorable for me. Mr. Goodman was recommended to me by a friend and I am so very grateful. My son was going through a difficult time and made some mistakes. As a Mother, I was overwhelmed and distraught. Mr. Goodman personally answered my calls and emails. Never did I doubt that he had my son’s best interest at heart nor mine. He even spoke to my son on my behalf to help him understand the severity of his mistakes/choices. He went to court with my son twice and both times did a very good job which resulted in the best possible outcome. One of the times, my son missed a court appearance and I was frantic. I hired Michael to represent me at a court hearing for a speeding violation. Michael is very personable and got back to me promptly when I had questions. I’ve hired Michael to help me on a number of occasions and am thrilled with his services! I first needed his help with some nasty speeding tickets and he was able to vacate the charges.

Later, I needed his help with a challenging case (probably one for the books), where I was charged with DUI and retail theft. While this was a sticky situation, Michael was able to get me into the ARD program and, after successful completion of the program, the charges have since been expunged from my record. He was even able to follow up and have the police remove the arrest record removed from their press release, which was showing up in Google searches and hindering my ability to find work.

In all of these cases, Michael was knowledgeable and very thorough in his work with me. He always followed up with me, apprised me of the situation, the consequences, provided me with legal council and advice, and gave me a great sense of personal comfort knowing that I was in good hands. I was extremely pleased with mr goodmans representation of my sons case. He was able to get him in the ARD program even though he had a previous arrest. My sons license was only suspended for 2 months which I think is amazing.
He can also have his charges expunged off his record after 1 year. At court he handled everything for us step by step which made things much easier.

Had a speeding ticket and an unlawful lane change ticket. He knew everyone and negotiated this down and got the lesser ticket removed. Would not hesitate to use him again. Very professional, and knows the law.

I have had the opportunity to utilize the services of Michael Goodman twice in the last 3 years unfortunatly. The unfortunate part is that I needed an attorney due to my own actions, NOT any reflection on the services of Mr. Goodman. First time, I had a rather high speeding ticket and a less than civil surrounding incident roadside with the PA State Trooper who, in my eyes pulled me over and misrepresented my speed. Mr Goodman was able to work through my own questionalbly valid feelings of victimization and talk me into a course of action that played out EXACTLY how he portrayed it to me as the best way to go. Due to his experience with dealing with the local troopers, his reputation for thorough preparation before going before a judge allowed us to plea down a very serious infraction to a trivial fine and zero points….I take that all day long….Second was a bit worse…long story short I was pulled over for DUI after 5 hours of power drinking and had no business being behind the wheel….while there are not a lot of options when you refuse to be tested (I recommend that to ZERO people) due to a very complex business situation I was in I needed my journey through the courts and penalty phase and expungement to be as swift, painless and under the radar as possible. Again I did not help myself with some of my actions during the infraction and Mike Goodman was the “voice of calm” in addressing these. Mike made some immediate moves that helped my cause all the way through my case and was instrumental in assisting me navigate the post hearing maze of court letters, appearances, fines, penalty follow up and expungement process (which is its own nightmare if you don’t know what you are doing). Let’s face it, if you need a traffic/DUI attorney it is probably going to be a tough road to travel due to actions you did and how hard the laws are, you need to focus on someone who is not going to lie to you about the “magic” they can do but someone who gives you the best advice for the best outcome you can get and not milk you dry. I received what I considered to be a phony “You are driving a Ferrari” speeding ticket, at a speed reportedly recorded on a remote device that was impossible given traffic flow and road terrain. I responded to an unsolicited letter from Mike Goodman offering his services. I responded and got a phone call directly from Mike. He handled everything from that point forward, keeping me regularly informed, and achieving a great result, I.e. Offense reduced to not displaying a license. GREAT guy and great job!

I secured Michael’s services upon receipt of a speeding ticket on Rt 422. Michael took the time to obtain the specifics of my case and represented me at my hearing. When a court date was set at a very busy time in my work schedule, Michael solicited the court to have the date changes to a more opportune time. In my case Michael was able to negotiate a speed reduction and ultimately no points which was my primary concern due to a very clean driving record, it is important to me to maintain.

The benefit of this plea is that it avoided a Mandatory 60 day jail sentence, avoided a one (1) year license suspension, and reduced you fine from $500.00 to only $25.00. I hired Michael Goodman for a traffic offense that if found guilty it could have required 60 days incarceration, $1,100 fine and a year suspension. After following Mr. Goodman instructions prior to the court hearing, he helped lower the offense to 5 points on my license and only a $150.00 fine.
